Downtown Abbey enthusiast with a Southern girl charm, Andrea Romero’s captivating personality and infectious laugh easily draws you in even before you look at her vintage inspired, with a modern twist accessories. AMR Accessories was created by Andrea to share her love of fashion and designing and what started as a hobby has grown into a small business that continues to grow. I caught up with the accessory designer to talk about her latest line inspired by equestrian fashions in between gasps for air and too much laughter it was criminal.

Milan Fashion Week Recap

Fashion waits for no (wo)man  and while I eagerly tried to soak up what little sun I could over my spring break, fashion month powered on with the Milan shows. The runways were bedecked in romanticism with lace and ornate designs while pops of color brought the vivacity of the city to life. Her blog is comprised of the fabulous lifestyle of a FIT student and assistant to Derek Blasberg as well as commentary and critiques about the industry sprinkled with cultural influences happening around New York City. A New Yorker through and through, I caught up with the jet-setting blogger – she’s currently exploring London – to talk fashion, travel and the best places to grab a coffee in the city.

London Collections: Men

London Collections: Men started off Fashion Season with a bang. The four day event began Friday and runs until Monday. When I lived in London I fell in love with fashion and art being an integral part of the city’s culture. Everyone is decked out in their own personal style. Whether it was a style that reflected your own or something completely different from what you would wear, there was an appreciation of fashion and embracing individual style.

Sweater Weather

Baby it’s cold outside! Or at least it should be. I have to admit living in Florida has its perks: beautiful beaches, sunny days, and an endless stream of perfectly bronzed men parading around. Ok that last part may not be entirely true, but a girl can dream. The weather is ideal for light layering and a cozy sweater is the best answer for chilly temperatures. As a fanatic for fall clothing, I will make the most of “Florida’s winter” by donning my favorite sweaters every chance I get. Need a little inspiration? Blog Spotter: Michelle Almonor of Fashilluminous

Nothing makes me more giddy (yes, I said giddy) than meeting new people and making new friends. I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle Almonor, a student at the University of South Florida, at the recent ‘Metamorphosis’ fashion show hosted by The Fashion Executives. Almonor is the president of TFE, an organization at USF, that focuses on assisting emerging designers and boutiques in the Tampa Bay area with events and branding. When she’s not planning TFE events, serving on the executive board of Alpha Kappa Psi, a co-ed professional business fraternity, and nailing down covetable internship opportunities, Almonor is investing her heart and soul in her fashion blog, Fashilluminous.
